The company specialises in the production of high quality cheesecakes, meringues, sponge puddings, cupcakes and customer-specific orders. We also create an exciting celebration range as well as delicious party food for Christmas.We operate from a custom-built manufacturing facility that opened in August 2008. Born out of the continuing growth of the chilled desserts market, our bakery has been designed with state of the art manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum flexibility and a quick response to changing consumer needs.
Our bakery skills range from detailed hand finishing to operating highly-automated robotic equipment.
Our product development team is constantly looking for ways to innovate and delight both our retail customers and their end consumers. For example, we brought a unique cheesecake “bar” format to the market, making cheesecakes easier and more convenient to eat. Another of our recent offerings is the sunken cheesecake. We will continue to develop our cakes and desserts ranges with further exciting innovations.
Roles here at Blueberry span all the relevant positions needed in a fully functioning food manufacturing site. These range from manufacturing-related roles such as Production Operatives, Team Leaders, Area Managers Technical, Quality Assurance, Process, and Engineering to more office based roles such as Accounts, Personnel, Development Chefs, Purchasing, Commercial, Marketing and IT.
Community & Environment
We are involved in community initiatives such as ‘Leicestershire Cares’, helping to improve interview techniques, and ‘Breaking the Cycle’, a programme to encourage young people into the food industry. We are able to reduce our impact on the environment by reducing compressed air and water usage on site and by encouraging staff to turn off machinery, lights etc. when they are not in use.
