Brooksby Foods was originally set up as an innovation site to Kettleby Foods and became a stand-alone business in January 2013.
We produce an average of 375,000 meals per week, peaking at 600,000 meals during our busiest periods. We also supply raw ingredients that the end consumer assembles into meals to cook at home.
Recent awards we have won include Product Integrity Unit Green and British Retail Consortium A grade.
Brooksby Foods is the newest addition to the Samworth Group and many of our people have worked at other Samworth sites. This means we have retained many existing skills within the Group, while giving the opportunity for employees to move or progress within the business. We are working with Loughborough and Leicester College to provide Apprenticeship programmes in Marketing and Engineering, as well as with Nottingham Trent University and others to provide training courses for our employees.
Priding ourselves on our innovation and entrepreneurial flair, our core competencies include automated and hand assembly, raw and cooked product, fresh leaf / herb, and crumbing. Our cooking capabilities range from roasting, baking, steaming and sauce making to marinating, frying and pasta & rice cooking. In October 2014, Brooksby Foods was the first business in the Samworth Brothers Group to move into retorted technology. This will allow us to produce high quality, long life ready meals with a shelf life of over 30 days.

We are involved in the Leicestershire Cares initiative, providing interview techniques and skills to children at local schools.
