Congratulations to Stephen Hallam, Managing Director at Dickinson and Morris who has been honoured with the first Tourism Superstar Award, at this year’s Leicestershire Promotions Tourism Awards.  The awards hosted by Leicestershire Promotions are in their sixth year, celebrating and showcasing the very best Leicester and Leicestershire’s local businesses, organisations and experiences.

Stephen Hallam said “This award was totally unexpected!  After a video testimonial all the way from India from Sir Ian Botham and Jonathan Agnew I dedicated the award to all those in the room (400 people all involved in tourism in Leicestershire and beyond), and in particular thanked my colleagues, friends, staff and associates from Melton Mowbray”.

Martin Peters, Chief Executive of Leicester Shire Promotions spoke highly of Stephens’s contributions: “We’re particularly delighted to be able to present Stephen Hallam from Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe in Melton Mowbray with the Tourism Superstar award. Stephen’s dedication and commitment to developing the food and drink offer in the town is outstanding and has resulted in a national profile that has attracted a great number of visitors from across the UK and internationally.”

Stephen will now be put forward for the VisitEngland national awards in 2017. We will keep you updated on how he gets on.

Sir Ian Botham and Jonathan Agnews congratulatory message to Stephen.
