Three times Olympic Silver Medallist spends the day with Samworth Brothers Charity Challengers

David Florence gives Kettleby Charity Challengers that canoeing edge

Kettleby Foods recently had the pleasure of welcoming three times Olympic canoe slalom Silver Medallist David Florence to the business. David held a Q&A session with staff members who are participating in the upcoming 2017 Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge, a fundraising triathlon style event which will take place in June. Over the past 10 years Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge events have raised more than £1.7 million for charity.

During the Q & A session David spoke about his sporting ethos, which is to concentrate on what you can do well, rather than trying to win. He explored how he copes with the pressures of racing, his healthy and clean eating patterns, whilst giving insight into the types of training he does for his event.

David might well be the best person in the world to provide some tips on how to paddle, which for most of the Samworth Brothers Charity Challengers is the activity they do the least amount of training for.

The 2017 event will be the 6th Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge and its 10th anniversary, with the event returning to its first ever venue back in 2007, the  beautiful Lake District. Good luck to all the Charity Challenge participants who are now well into training for the event.
