How We Run Our Business

The best and fastest decisions are usually taken by those closest to the action, and so ours is a decentralised business.

We do not have a divisional structure, nor do we have cumbersome group functions. We do leverage our scale, though, through coordinating our business' buying and other teams to achieve least cost and share best practice.

Every Samworth Brothers business is run by its own Board of Directors with the full support of dedicated sales, personnel, finance and other teams on site. This gives our people the best opportunity to contribute to the success of the company and allows our customers to benefit from fast response times and specialist knowledge.

Each Managing Director reports directly into a member of the Group Executive Board, and only six people are based at our central office in Melton Mowbray (one person per 1,000 people employed).
