Tamar Foods is located next door to Ginsters in Callington, Cornwall. The business was created in 1999, producing out of what had previously been Ginsters Tamar Bakery.

Tamar Foods was born out of the success of both Ginsters and the bakery's ready meals business. From a small base, Tamar developed and grew the Group's ready meals business until it out-grew the facility and was moved to a purpose built site at Kettleby Foods, allowing Tamar Foods to fully concentrate its expertise on the production of hot and cold pies. The former ready meals area then evolved into a small but flexible desserts plant.

Building on their reputation for quality pastry products, the range produced has continued to expand, with over 110 products in different forms now being produced at the site. All of the products are produced to the high standards expected of Samworth Brothers and include a variety of products such as deep filled pies and hand-crimed pasties, its original strength. Tamar Foods is proud to source produce locally, where ever possible, from farmers in and around the Devon and Cornwall areas.

It supplies most of the UK's multiple retailers as well as for the Ginsters and its own Cornwall's Pride brands.
