Each business within the group is independent and therefore has its own purchasing manager / team. Although each business operates autonomously, we do share best practice and the entire group or a group of businesses may join forces to purchase a particular service or material.
The main focus for our purchasing teams are raw materials and packaging but they are also broadly responsible for all items and services bought in their particular business.

As a leading responsible food manufacturer, we only work with suppliers who operate to the highest quality and technical standards. As a minimum we would expect our raw material suppliers to operate an effective HACCP system and comply with all aspects of the BRC standard. Packaging suppliers would be expected to comply with the latest food contact legislation and ISO or equivalent.
Depending on the specific category of material, we operate a process through which prospective suppliers can gain approval.
