Samworth Brothers celebrate the innovation, heritage and diversity of Leicestershire’s food & drink sector

Samworth Brothers was one of thirteen local Leicestershire businesses that took part in a Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership sponsored House of Commons event, showcasing the heritage and diversity of the Leicestershire food and drink sector. Dickinson & Morris exhibited at ‘The Global Flavours of Leicestershire’ event with Managing Director and pork pie expert Stephen Hallam and Walker & Son Brand Manager Sunita Bala participating as brand ambassadors.

The event was sponsored by Leicestershire MPs, Albert Costa (MP for South Leicestershire) and Andrew Bridgen, (MP for North West Leicestershire), which was followed by a debate about the skills and resource challenges faced by the sector.

Brand Manager Sunita Bala said “The event was a success for the Dickinson & Morris brand – we had a unique opportunity to showcase our heritage, expertise and passion to key influencers in politics, offering them a sample of our premier pork pies which went down a treat for existing fans of the Dickinson & Morris name, as well as people who had not yet heard of us, or the town of Melton Mowbray.
