Healthy snacking recommendation

Malt loaf slice has been recommended by Public Health England as a healthy alternative snack for children in its Change4Life campaign.

The health body has formulated a simple eight week campaign to help parents move their children towards a healthier snacking lifestyle with no more than two 100 calorie snacks a day.

A Soreen lunchbox loaf contains 54% less sugar than an average cake bar and has less than 100 calories.

Malt loaf slice was recommended in a list of eight suitable 100 calorie snacks which also included fresh or tinned fruit salad, chopped vegetables and lower fat, lower sugar fromage frais.
