The Role

As a Financial Controller you will be a key member of our site Senior Management Team providing financial support to aid the business in achieving its objectives. You will be responsible for the accuracy of the accounts and the provision of financial reporting, analysis and insight whilst ensuring a robust control environment and balance sheet integrity. You will lead, motivate and coach your direct reports to get the best out of them and help them to develop. You will also lead the generation of the annual budget and financial forecasts along with maintaining and strengthening internal controls. You will drive the effectiveness of the Finance system and be the key point of contact for the outsourcing IT support partner.

The Right Person

In this role the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders is key, therefore you will need experience of this alongside an understanding of the importance of supporting a team. You will also need:

  • To be qualified with ACCA/CIMA and have 2-5 years PQE
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically with Excel but also with an ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience of managing others
  • Experience of taking a business partnering approach is desirable
  • Manufacturing experience is also desirable.
