The Role

The successful Ingredient Preparation Operatives will play a critical role within Ingredient Preparation, carrying out a variety of tasks and responsibilities such as;

  • Recording of batch numbers
  • Operating high volume mixing and slicing machines
  • Washing of vegetables in chemicals
  • Stock rotation
  • Operation of label printers and barcode scanners

The Successful Individuals

  • Experience gained from a similar role from within food manufacturing would be advantageous
  • Experience of working accurately in a fast paced environment, meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to understand and operate machinery. Experience of operating machinery would be desirable
  • The ability to comply with strict working instructions such as adherence to Bakery Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and Food Health & Safety
  • Ability to speak, read and write clearly in English as well as good numeracy skills (you must be able to pass entry numeracy and literacy tests)
  • A competent computer user with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to carry out manual lifting of up to 20Kg and able to work in an environment that is chilled, ambient and wet
