We are currently recruiting for an IT Service Adoption Specialist – Microsoft 365 within Group IT to be based at either our Leicester or Cornwall Site.

Job Opportunity

The Microsoft 365 Service Adoption Specialist will be responsible for providing guidance, support, development and training across the portfolio of 365 applications.

Success in this role will be identifying where 365 can add value and return on investment to our organisation and its people. Our goal is to empower all to be able to make the best use of the tools on offer for themselves creating a modern workplace where teamwork and collaboration happens through a single set of applications and services, enjoyed, rather than problematic and laborious.

The position will serve as an escalation point for the Operations Centre for 365 issues that they cannot resolve. The successful candidate will also work closely with the 365 SME within the Operations centre to provide them with the skills and knowledge to resolve issues and service requests that in the past may have required escalation.

The Product Specialist will be responsible for the documentation required for development work as well as collecting feedback from customers who interact with the team to feed into the teams’ key metrics.

Enthusiasm and a genuine desire to improve the workplace environment and experience for our userbase is an essential quality for this role, as is the ability to build and foster strong relationships across the business at all levels.

  • Design and implement solutions providing a return on investment in the 365 technologies
  • Support and empower the customer to do more with the suite
  • Create content in support of developing the user experience with the software
  • Stay aware of new developments within 365 and share with the team and other potentially invested parties
  • Train people in the use of newly developed systems
  • Build relationships that foster awareness and growth for the 365 team and its services
  • Work closely with complimentary teams whose work may affect ours or vice versa
  • Feed into the metrics that measure the team’s success via customer feedback etc.
  • Act as 3rd line escalation for 365 issues.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and location

The Right Person

You will be someone who is self-motivated and focussed on the customer. You will demonstrate initiative and ownership. You value others and their contribution and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. You will be flexible and adaptable to change. In addition, you will have the following skills:

  • IT degree level education or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Demonstratable skills with Microsoft 365 technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong two-way relationships.
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work in teams and multitask.
  • Strong, written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present ideas and technical solutions in user-friendly language
  • Strong understanding of 365 applications and services including SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, One Drive for Business, Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft’s MDM platform: Intune
  • Understanding of ITIL framework
  • Maintains effective relationships with senior business stakeholders.
  • Flexible hands-on approach essential
  • Self-Motivated achiever who can work on own as well a part of a team
  • Logical and methodical approach
  • Promotes a high level of service through a strong “One team” approach
