The Role
We are looking for a Stock Controller to join our team on a permanent basis. As part of the Stock Control team, your main responsibility is ensuring there is adequate stock on-site, and at the right time, to provide our customer base with 100% service; while ensuring stock holding and waste levels are minimised.

In further detail your key duties will include:

  • Monitor daily stock levels and place / amend orders in line with forecasted / actual requirements.
  • Monitor waste levels and where necessary, investigate before escalating to the Planning Manager.
  • Escalate any potential stock shortages to the Planning Manager and where necessary, the Planning team. This communication is vital to the efficient planning of the production lines.
  • Communicate stock shortages / delays to the relevant departments in a timely manner.
  • Maintain your database of suppliers, ensuring all information is current and all Purchase Orders / Amends are up to date.
  • Identify and highlight areas of opportunity for reducing costs in the Supply Chain.
  • Provide forecasts to suppliers, to ensure they have adequate visibility of future requirement
  • Establish and maintain good channels of communication with both internal / external customers / suppliers.

To be successful in the role, you will have the following required skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications:

  • Very good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with computer-based packages.
  • Good problem solver.
  • Self-starter who can work on own initiative.
