Industrial Placement 2017

Four placements

The scheme lasts two years and, during that time, you will experience four placements of six months each that will test your commercial, technical, project management and people management skills. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Click here to see the types of charity projects you might get involved with.

Ongoing support

We have a great support structure in place, so you will be assigned a mentor who will be on hand to provide help, advice and guidance whenever you need it. Your mentor will be a senior manager whose job will be to take an interest in your development with us and to respond to your needs by providing useful insights based on their own experiences.

Meet our graduates

It’s only by joining us that you can find out exactly what it’s like to be a graduate with Samworth Brothers. But you can get a good idea by hearing what some of our recent graduates have to say.

Residential learning

Over the course of the two years, you will attend an Institute of Leadership Management- accredited Leadership and Professional Development Programme operated by our partners, ‘Discovery Graduates’. Called the Open Programme, it consists of three courses each lasting three days. On each course you will work alongside graduates from other companies and disciplines. As well as developing new business and personal skills, you will undertake assignments to help reinforce what you have learned when you are back in your job with us.

Career opportunities

After the two years, you will be offered a role either in our Operations, Technical or Commercial functions that suits your skills and experience. We have 19 food businesses located in Leicestershire, Cornwall and elsewhere across the country. Click here to find out more about the companies within the Group and the products they manufacture.
