People Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a People Assistant to join our People Team at our Madeline Road Bradgate Bakery site in Beaumont Leys.

Job Opportunity

To provide a full HR administration service to the People Team, internal and external customers, acting as a first point of contact for all People related queries, escalating as appropriate to the People Advisors and/or People Partner

  • Monitor, communicate, assist and arrange Attendance Management meetings
  • Taking minutes in meetings, where required
  • Ensure all paperwork is prepared/communicated for weekly and monthly payroll to required deadlines
  • Ensure all new starters have completed the Health Questionnaire and any action required is completed
  • Liaise with Occupational Health provider to set up weekly referral clinics
  • Prepare material for Company inductions as and when required
  • Manage, monitor, assist and record the probationary review process
  • Update and maintain HR/Payroll Software and produce ad hoc reports as required
  • Produce data on a monthly basis for SLT, including absence and turnover data
  • Maintain and update the department KPI trackers on an on-going basis

You will be someone who is self-motivated and focussed on the customer. You will demonstrate initiative and ownership. You value others and their contribution and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. You will be flexible and adaptable to change. In addition, you will have the following skills:

  • Studying towards a relevant CIPD qualification (desirable) financial support offered
  • Experience within an Administration role;
  • Excellent Microsoft skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams;
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • Attention to detail with a thorough approach;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent team player;
  • Flexible approach to working hours
