We produce sandwiches, wraps, prepared salads, pasta pots and many other chilled food to go products for a leading UK retailer. The Role

The successful Quality Auditor will play a critical role within the Technical Department, responsible for auditing food safety, quality and legality of food production at Bradgate Bakery, helping to ensure that the quality of our products is maintained at the highest level. Day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Conducting audits to specified frequency; Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Critical Control Points, hygiene, glass and hard plastic, calibration, traceability, foreign body
  • Conduct microbiological sampling to agreed plan (product, raw materials, water)
  • Conduct; taste panels of all products dispatched during shift, fortnightly end of life taste panels, swabbing to agreed plan
  • Complete shift report detailing summary of findings from audits
  • Input sampling details on a daily basis to allow budget management

The Successful Individual

  • Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar role
  • GCSE’s (or equivalent) passes in Maths, English and Science, as well as relevant qualifications in Food Safety, Internal Audit and HACCP is desirable
  • Understanding of quality systems and procedures, food hygiene, GMP
  • Ability to speak, read and write clearly in English as well as good numeracy skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
