This role is based at our Oak Meadow distribution site on Scudamore Road in Leicester.

The Role

Working for a Samworth Brothers site you will provide analysis of data supporting Supply Chain Partnership Managers. Your role’s key purpose is to help grow sales, increase availability and reduce wastage. Tasks are always completed within the Tesco’s set targets and parameters and at the same time helping Samworth to grow their own sales and increase profitability. The key tasks include tracking customer forecast accuracy to actual order and analysing this data to pick out trends. Also tracking data on service level, sales, waste, store stock and on shelf availability. In addition, this role will be supporting supply chain managers in producing relevant data, sharing this at forecast meetings and working with those managers to review the information to inform decision making. The role will also work alongside managers to track the progress against improvement plans.

The Right Person

You will be an enthusiastic individual able to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team and on your own initiative. In addition, you will need:

  • Experience working with analysis of data and handling complex models
  • Experience of working within FMCG would be required
  • Knowledge of bulk data handling, identifying patterns and trends within data
  • Know how to find patterns within data and extract trends and information
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and explain complex information to others at all levels
  • Strong computer literacy is required particularly across all Microsoft Office and advanced Excel is essential
  • Need to be able to demonstrate extremely strong Maths and English skills
