Yes. Please highlight in your submission which pathway(s) you are applying for (e.g. Commercial, Technical).
We ensure that all candidates receive timely updates on the progress of their application throughout the selection process.
Every application is carefully reviewed and candidates who fully match the essential requirements of the role are invited to Video Interview.
You will be asked questions regarding your business and commercial acumen to ensure you are a fit for the role and that the role is a good fit for you.
You will be expected to have done some research on Samworth Brothers and the role that you have applied for.
Candidates who have been shortlisted following Video Interview are invited to attend a Recruitment Day held at one of our Samworth Brothers sites. It is an essential part of the process in which you will have opportunity to learn about our business and operations first hand, meet managers and current and past Graduates.
You will also be asked to take part in a number of tasks and experiences to demonstrate your competencies and personal values so that by the end of the day both you and our management team are in a position to decide whether a place on our Graduate Scheme is right for you.
Following the Recruitment Day, we aim to make prompt offers to successful candidates and provide useful feedback to everyone, to help you reflect on what you did well and any areas of development you can work on.
Every candidate who is invited to the Recruitment Day will also be asked to complete an online profile which demonstrates behavioural approach and aptitude (reasoning, verbal, numerical, spatial and perceptual). We use this to support our final selection decision, and to guide our approach to the Graduate’s development and support plan if successful.
We reimburse travel expenses for the Recruitment Day only if you submit receipts / tickets and provide your bank details. Expenses are then administered via our Finance team.

To ensure we offer genuine roles where you can be assured you will be making a contribution to your team, placements are decided based on business requirements.
Therefore, although it’s not possible to give you a choice of placement, we do carefully consider your development needs against the placements available to make sure you are given the best opportunity and support to progress and gain experience. Flexibility is required as you may need to move location for each placement.
