Future Trailblazer Nominee – Nicola Bartlett shortlisted as Circularity Champion
We’re proud to share that Nicola Bartlett, Packaging Innovation Manager, has been shortlisted as a Future Trailblazer 2026 award, recognised in the Circularity Champion category.
Launched in 2024, the Future Trailblazer initiative, delivered in partnership with IOM3 (The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining), celebrates rising stars who are shaping the future of packaging. The programme recognises individuals in the first ten years of their careers who are already making a meaningful impact across areas including sustainability, engineering, design and innovation.
Nicola’s nomination reflects her commitment to improving packaging, and alongside her role, has undertaken a Packaging Degree, supported by the Food to Go Management Team, and is a strong advocate for education and skills development across the packaging profession.
Speaking about the nomination, Nicola said:
“I’m really honoured to be nominated for the Packaging Innovations Future Trailblazer award. I am incredibly passionate about the role packaging plays to both protect and promote our products. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity and support from the FTG Management Team to undertake a Packaging Degree alongside my current role.
I am a big believer in educating and upskilling others in packaging and allowing for career development in this area. This recognition would not be possible without the amazing group of packaging experts we have in FTG and across the wider Samworth Brothers business.
I am particularly delighted to be a finalist in the environmental category, as it highlights the amazing work the team continue to do to eliminate negative impact and improve our packaging – watch this space!”
