CELEBRATING COMMUNITY: LEICESTERSHIRE CARES ANNUAL AWARDS
It was a brilliant evening for our teams at the Leicestershire Cares Annual Awards, which took place recently at the beautiful Winstanley House in Leicester. Hosted by Leicestershire Cares, the event brought together individuals and businesses who have gone the extra mile to support people and communities across the region.
We’re incredibly proud to share that Nathan, from Walker & Son, was named Young People’s Champion 2025. Although Nathan couldn’t attend in person, colleagues from Walker & Son were there on the night to accept the award and celebrate on his behalf.
Samworth Brothers were also presented with a certificate recognising 25 years of collaboration with Leicestershire Cares, a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. Over the years, our partnership with Leicestershire Cares has helped us support initiatives from employability programmes and skills development to food donations and hands-on volunteering.
These kinds of partnerships are part of who we are as a business. We believe in being an active part of our local communities, and it’s our colleagues who bring that commitment to life every day.
