SUPPORTING SAFER TRANSPORT AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT ACROSS AFRICA
Supporting safer transport and skills development across Africa
Samworth Brothers Supply Chain has donated another transport unit to Transaid, helping support their vital work improving road safety and professional driver training across Africa.
This is the fourth Samworth Brothers vehicle to join Transaid’s programmes. One of our units is currently on the road in Uganda, another in Tanzania, and a third already operates in Zambia. Our latest cream-coloured truck is now on its way to join the Zambian fleet.
Transaid’s professional driver training programmes reach more than 9,000 HGV drivers each year, helping to strengthen safety standards, improve livelihoods and support long-term economic development.
Each donated vehicle still has plenty of life left in it, having been expertly driven by our Samworth Brothers Supply Chain colleagues and meticulously maintained by our in-house Vehicle Maintenance Units in both Leicester and Callington.
We were pleased to hand this latest unit over to Transaid Ambassador Mike Daly, who will oversee its journey into service and ensure it continues making a real difference.
