Samworth Brothers wins Business in Education Award
Samworth Brothers has been recognised with the Business in Education Award at this year’s Leicestershire Cares Annual Celebration Event.
The award celebrates the support Samworth Brothers colleagues have provided to education-focused initiatives organised by Leicestershire Cares over the past year, including mock interview sessions, careers fairs, speed networking events and wider school programmes.
Samworth Brothers was also nominated for the Community Impact Award and Business Member of the Year, recognising the wider contribution colleagues continue to make across local communities.
Over the last year, volunteers from across Samworth Brothers’ Leicester and Leicestershire businesses have taken part in a range of activities designed to support young people as they prepare for the world of work. This has included colleagues giving their time to help students practise interview skills, explore different career pathways and build confidence through direct conversations with people in business.
The Annual Celebration Event brought together businesses, schools and community partners to recognise the positive difference being made across Leicester and Leicestershire. For Samworth Brothers, the award reflects the commitment of colleagues who continue to share their time, skills and experience to support young people in the region.
Through its ongoing work with Leicestershire Cares, Samworth Brothers is proud to play a part in helping young people develop confidence, understand future career opportunities and feel better prepared for their next steps.
