Samworth Brothers celebrates success at the Sammies Awards
Samworth Brothers colleagues and partners are celebrating after a strong showing at The Sandwich & Food to Go Industry Awards, known as the Sammies.
The annual awards recognise the people, products and innovation shaping the sandwich and food to go industry.
This year, four Samworth Brothers colleagues were named as finalists: Stephen Jordan Bird, Harry Dempster, Ella Lobb and Richard Hawksley. Reaching the final is a brilliant achievement in itself, reflecting the creativity, skill and quality behind their entries.
The evening brought further recognition, with two category wins and a Highly Commended award.
Harry Dempster was named winner of the Sodiaal Cheese Category for his creation, Brie Mi. His entry stood out in a competitive category, showcasing creativity, flavour and a clear understanding of food to go.
Samworth Brothers was also recognised in the New Packaging Award, winning alongside Paranova Print and Packaging for the Co-op Turkey & Gravy Double Dip Wrap. The award recognises development and innovation by suppliers across the industry, with a particular focus on packaging.
Stephen Jordan Bird was also Highly Commended for his entry, Death By S’mores – continuing an impressive run of recognition in the competition.
The results reflect the talent, creativity and collaboration that sit behind Samworth Brothers’ food to go offer, from product development through to packaging innovation.
