Samworth Brothers charity challenge on the start line
First event this weekend
Good luck this weekend to our intrepid Samworth Brothers Charity ‘Challengers’ as the 2022 event kicks off. Over sixty-five teams from Samworth businesses, customers and suppliers have signed up for one of two gruelling 10-hour Challenge fundraising events on June 11th and 18th in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The triathlon style challenge has already raised an amazing £2.3 million for charity over six previous events.
Competitors will be completing a tough mountain walk, long mountain bike ride and canoe race, with each team pledging to raise more than £2,000 for a good cause close to their heart.
“It’s a fantastic event and our teams do an amazing fundraising job”, said Charity Challenge Co-ordinator Paula Shaw. “It is a double challenge –training hard for the event and also co-ordinating your team’s charity effort. We always have such a great response to the event from Samworth Brothers colleagues and businesses but also many of our customers and suppliers get involved. Thank you to everyone.”
