Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe, home of Dickinson & Morris, Supporting #CiN Rickshaw Challenge
The BBC Children-in-Need Rickshaw Challenge Team arrived safely in Melton Mowbray this Wednesday night, live on the BBC One Show. The annual event sees Matt Baker and a team of six inspiring youngsters travel across the country on a rickshaw to raise money for disadvantaged children across the UK.
Come 6pm, over 3,500 people greeted the riders on their return – the biggest attendance the crew has ever known, demonstrating phenomenal support from the people of Melton Mowbray.
Pudsey was projected on the side of Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe and even dropped in to the Shoppe to say ‘hello’. Each of the six riders received an Individual Dickinson & Morris Melton Mowbray pork pie and the team was presented with a very special 10” pie, featuring the CIN and Rickshaw logo, which was incredibly well received.
They then revealed the latest fundraising figure from the challenge with the numbers written on the crusts of pies – a remarkable total of almost £2million.
WELL DONE Team!
